Position:
Truss Sales Coordinator
Compensation:
Starting at $21 to $25 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Role Overview:
The Truss Sales Coordinator is responsible for managing all facets of our sales call process and strategies, coordinating business activities for accounts, and executing PARR's sales initiatives.
The primary objective is to support the sales team by:
- Communicating effectively with clients
- Scheduling projects
- Creating quotations
- Processing requests
- Assisting in managing construction timelines
The Sales Coordinator will receive daily guidance from Truss Designers & Sales team members and will report to the Plant Manager or Design Manager. This role involves daily interactions with managers, internal and external clients, as well as regular communication with corporate staff and vendor representatives.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with building materials or experience in the construction sector
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in English is required
- Proven relationship-building abilities
- Ability to operate a personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and other necessary equipment
- Ten-key proficiency by touch is required
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with MiTek or similar design software
- Understanding of PARR's sales principles and practices
- Willingness to share departmental responsibilities to meet deadlines
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients
- Communicate with a diverse range of clients in the residential construction sector
- Manage the timely delivery of Roof & Floor trusses to job sites
- Utilize and promote the PARR Bridge Strategy
- Set and achieve personal sales and profit targets
- Enhance customer relationships and ensure timely shipments
- Focus on quality, value, and service in sales
- Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Coordinate with dispatch to ensure accurate delivery commitments
- Maintain detailed customer profiles in Outlook or CRM
- Ensure workspace cleanliness and organization
- Follow best practices in order entry and delivery setup
- Engage with customers professionally and promptly
- Confirm material needs and process orders efficiently
- Complete quotes and follow up diligently
- Maintain high follow-through on orders and inventory management
- Complete necessary training and understand product applications
- Report low inventory levels as needed
- Conduct outreach to potential clients regarding business opportunities
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, and carry objects over distances. Must be able to work in an office environment and travel occasionally.
