Job Summary

The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is seeking a highly skilled Physician (Urology) to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of urological procedures, including surgeries, diagnostic tests, and treatments.
  • Diagnose and treat various urological conditions, such as kidney stones, prostate issues, and bladder problems.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on urological health and wellness.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices in urology.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a urology residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Board certification in urology or eligibility for board certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of clinical practice experience in urology.
  • Endourology and/or robotic/minimally invasive fellowship training.
Working Conditions

This position requires a high level of physical and mental stamina, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.

The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment physical examination and provide documentation of proof of COVID-19 vaccination before starting work.
