Position Summary: The primary objective of this role is to enhance sales and distribution of all products offered by Markstein Sales Company while ensuring a high standard of customer service and product excellence. This includes the construction and presentation of eye-catching displays for merchandise at retail locations to engage potential customers.
Key Responsibilities: (This list is not exhaustive)
- Provide coverage in designated sales territories during periods of absence due to vacations, illness, or increased demand.
- Travel throughout the assigned area to engage with existing and potential customers, soliciting orders and discussing products on the sales floor.
- Facilitate the sale of beverages to both off-premise and on-premise retail accounts as necessary.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels at retail locations to prevent stock shortages or excess.
- Utilize historical sales data and reports to make informed daily decisions regarding inventory management.
- Ensure proper stocking, rotation, and quality control of all products from Markstein Sales Company.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Demonstrated motivation and results-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and pay attention to detail.
- Strong skills in sales and negotiation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education and Experience:
- Preferred: One (1) year of experience in sales or merchandising.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
