Key Responsibilities

The Senior Client Advisor & Business Insurance Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of assigned Commercial Lines accounts while marketing new and existing clients to potential carriers to secure competitive coverage and pricing. This role involves delivering exceptional service to commercial clients and ensuring high customer retention rates. The Client Advisor will conduct comprehensive coverage analyses and provide consultative recommendations to clients. Building long-lasting relationships with clients, introducing innovative insurance products, and ensuring the relevance of existing insurance programs are central to this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients.
  • Introduce and advocate for new products through effective communication.
  • Enhance the profitability of existing product lines by promoting added-value services.
  • Provide expert consultation on optimal coverage for specific needs.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and carrier representatives to stay informed about new and existing products.
  • Prepare thorough and accurate submissions to insurance carriers, including narrative and loss analysis.
  • Follow up with insurance carriers to ensure timely quotes.
  • Work with producers to gather additional information required for insurance quotes.
  • Verify quotes against the Agency Management System for coverage accuracy.
  • Review and update quoted data in company proposals.
  • Bind coverage and update the Agency Management System with issuance instructions.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to execute strategies effectively.
  • Participate in meetings with carriers to gain market insights.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures by staying updated on changes.
  • Negotiate with underwriters to adjust policies as needed to meet client demands.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Agency Management Systems (Applied Epic), Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
  • Possess technical knowledge of various insurance coverages and policies.
  • Engage in seminars and training for ongoing skill and knowledge enhancement.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must successfully fulfill each essential duty. The following qualifications are necessary:

Education:
  • High School Diploma
Professional Certifications/Licenses:
  • Property/Casualty License Required
  • Maintain Agent/Broker License through continuing education
  • Earn or maintain CISR Designation
Experience/Skills:
  • 5 years of insurance experience required
  • Familiarity with Agency Management Systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Knowledge of Acord forms
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Interest in relationship management and networking
  • Exhibit trustworthiness, integrity, and discretion
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting responsibilities and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping
  • Ability to generate and implement innovative ideas

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with potential for annual merit increases.
