We are seeking a skilled geotechnical engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background, professional demeanor, and significant experience in geotechnical engineering. They should excel in maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field sampling and analyze subsurface conditions to support geotechnical investigations.
- Oversee and test foundation and earthwork construction activities.
- Compile detailed field reports and logs summarizing project work.
- Complete necessary safety training mandated by the firm and project sites.
- Develop and implement Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
- Ensure compliance with state and federal clearances as required.
- Meet project deadlines established in collaboration with project managers and clients.
- Prepare proposals for geotechnical engineering services.
- Assist in mentoring and training junior associates.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geology is required; a Master's degree with a Geotechnical focus is preferred.
- EIT or GIT Certification is required; PE or PG License is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Excellent verbal communication, technical writing skills, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to travel to project sites with a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Flexibility in work schedule is essential.
- Capability to obtain necessary state and federal clearances as required.
