Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled geotechnical engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background, professional demeanor, and significant experience in geotechnical engineering. They should excel in maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors.Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field sampling and analyze subsurface conditions to support geotechnical investigations.
  • Oversee and test foundation and earthwork construction activities.
  • Compile detailed field reports and logs summarizing project work.
  • Complete necessary safety training mandated by the firm and project sites.
  • Develop and implement Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal clearances as required.
  • Meet project deadlines established in collaboration with project managers and clients.
  • Prepare proposals for geotechnical engineering services.
  • Assist in mentoring and training junior associates.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geology is required; a Master's degree with a Geotechnical focus is preferred.
  • EIT or GIT Certification is required; PE or PG License is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent verbal communication, technical writing skills, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel to project sites with a valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is essential.
  • Capability to obtain necessary state and federal clearances as required.
