Job Summary

Temple Health is seeking a skilled Specimen Processing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of general and routine duties involved in the pre- and post-analytic portions of lab test processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draw, collect, and process blood and other specimens from positively identified patients and their corresponding required information.
  • Record, process, or otherwise enter and manage necessary patient and specimen-related information following established methods and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of specimens to meet laboratory testing requirements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to resolve any issues or concerns related to specimen processing.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • 1 Year experience performing phlebotomy and specimen processing (Required)
  • Classes in general sciences (Preferred)
