Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and evaluating patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge and practice level competencies and is a recognized clinical or workflow subject matter expert.
- Responsible for developing key workflows and clinical protocols or guidelines for department.
- Serves as a resource in the education, training, and mentoring of other staff and as a clinical instructor for assigned students.
- May coordinate staff education and student programs.
- Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
- SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
- 5 years of recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Critical thinking, complex problem-solving, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in a demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities, complete work duties within expected timelines, and requirements.
- Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.
- Effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service, and community relations abilities.
- Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.
- Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.
- Ability to teach/educate others, public speaking.
- Ability to assess competencies.
- Ability to develop training materials and competency assessments.
- Ability to extract evidence-based practice information and apply to clinical practice and training materials.
- Able to analyze and identify clinical practice and workflows best practices.
- Complex problem solver within and outside of department. Analyzes data/information from multiple sources. Collaborates with key stakeholders in developing solutions.

Days, Part-time, 24 hours/week.
