Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at City College of San Francisco. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing group instruction for individuals with acquired language or cognitive disorders, developing and improving skills and level of functioning in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials for in-person or online courses
  • Provide initial hearing screenings for students and staff, and speech/language assessment and create intervention plans
  • Develop and track Student Learning Outcomes for each course
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate services for students
  • Participate in professional development activities, program development and review, and faculty committees
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology or in Communication Disorders from an accredited institution
  • Hold a fully-satisfied LIFE California Community College Disabled Students Programs and Services Credential in Speech
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a speech pathologist or audiologist by the Medical Board of California
  • Experience managing an adult, multi-level classroom or group, and teaching in a community college or university level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with adults in the assessment and treatment of articulation disorders and stuttering
  • Experience with adults in the assessment of voice or speech/language/cognitive difficulties resulting from hearing loss or deafness
  • Experience with adults in the assessment and treatment of neurological disorders or acquired brain injury
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or other languages
