Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation to adult patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient, family/caregiver education
  • Collaborate and communicate with paraprofessionals to provide optimal care
  • Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care
  • Assist with clinical supervision of assistants/aides and serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited speech pathology program
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience with adult population in an Outpatient or Acute Rehab setting
  • Independent with MBBS studies preferred
  • Previous experience with the following dx: stroke, TBI, voice, dysphagia, motor speech disorders, neurodegenerative diseases preferred
  • SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Critical thinking, complex problem-solving, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work in a demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities, complete work duties within expected timelines, and requirements
  • Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs.
