Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the credit application process.
  • Record customer payments through cash, check, and credit transactions.
  • Establish new customer accounts.
  • Verify and enter transactions from lockbox and local deposits to post revenues.
  • Update receivables by calculating outstanding invoices.
  • Safeguard the organization’s interests by maintaining confidentiality.
  • Monitor and manage customer accounts.
  • Address and resolve disputes related to customer accounts.
  • Update the computer system with the latest customer account information.
  • Inform customers of insufficient funds checks and collect payments.
  • Assist customers in resolving credit-related issues.
  • Stay informed on laws and regulations regarding collections, bankruptcy, liens, and judgments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in customer credit files.
  • Support the credit management team with various requests.
  • Perform additional accounting and finance tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in data entry (required).
  • Background in Accounts Payable/Receivable and/or Accounting.
  • Associate degree or higher in Finance or Accounting (preferred).
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and software, such as Eclipse, BillTrust, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work while managing multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
