Job Title: Plant Receiving and Shop Maintenance Specialist

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Plant Receiving and Shop Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Lyndale Plant Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of incoming plant deliveries, maintaining the health and appearance of plants in the shop, and managing inventory and shop organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload delivery trucks, unwrap and inspect plants, and manage delivery organization and paperwork.
  • Water, prune, and pamper a variety of interior and exterior tropical plants.
  • Ensure our plants are happy, healthy, and thriving.
  • Clean, organize, and maintain the shop, breakroom, and office areas.
  • Conduct regular inventories of shop items and notify office staff of low stock levels to ensure timely reordering.
  • Assist in setting up work areas for seasonal projects by gathering supplies and arranging workstations.
  • Provide support to technicians by answering questions, assisting with plant availability, and ensuring they have all necessary supplies.
Requirements:
  • A love for plants and gardening.
  • Basic knowledge of plant care (or a willingness to learn).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility and reliability.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
