About the Position

The State of Montana is seeking a skilled professional to manage contracts with local agencies, overseeing the Housing Choice Voucher program. This position requires strong contract management and regulatory program work experience, as well as customer engagement and service background. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience with eligibility determination, housing certifications, and Fair Housing certification/experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contracts with local agencies, ensuring compliance with HUD and State regulations
  • Provide technical assistance to property owners, tenants, and Field Agency staff
  • Apply knowledge and solutions to local area agencies to address housing needs
  • Conduct on-site property/document reviews and follow-up to physical inspections
  • Review management decisions and provide technical assistance to owners/agents
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Two years of experience in contract management and regulatory program work
  • Customer engagement and service background
  • Experience with eligibility determination, housing certifications, and Fair Housing certification/experience
