Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management, administration of nebulized medications, secretion management, and application of oxygen therapy within the scope of practice under physician orders. This role requires working with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
Key Responsibilities
• Plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of therapy with communication to physician and healthcare team
Requirements
• 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy (preferred)
Education and Certifications
• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy (required)
• NC Respiratory Care Practitioner (required)
• Basic Life Support (required)
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (required within 6 months of completion of respiratory therapy program)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (required within 12 months of completion of respiratory therapy program)
Work Schedule
• 3 days, 12-hour shifts
Availability
• Every third weekend
Call Requirements
• Yes
