Position Overview

The Retirement Plan Implementation Specialist plays a crucial role in the onboarding of new retirement plans, ensuring exceptional communication and the successful execution of assigned projects. This position is responsible for coordinating efforts among all stakeholders until the plans are smoothly transitioned to the ongoing service team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience to new clients and partners during the onboarding process. Oversee all installation activities related to new business plans transitioning to StanCorp. Ensure timely and accurate communication with all parties involved throughout the transition, including managing documentation, conducting enrollment meetings, and following up on outstanding items.
  • Engage in plan document and design discussions early in the onboarding process to facilitate system setup and the production of enrollment materials. Provide training on processes and systems, including PlanNet, PRO, and PSC, while offering ongoing technical support to clients and partners to ensure successful management of their new plans.
  • Collaborate closely with the Implementation Coordinator, Data Specialist, and other internal team members to document communication and deliverable timelines for new plans. Proactively escalate any risks to timelines or deliverables for assigned plans.
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Experience: 4 - 6 years in a client-facing role within defined contribution plan administration, encompassing implementation, plan document design, client relationship management, and compliance with federal pension regulations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional certification: ASPPA CPC, QKA, QPA, or NIPA (APA) (APR) preferred or in progress.
