The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist II to join their team. As a key member of the Community Services Section, this professional will be responsible for performing complex contract management work, including contract enrollment, maintenance, and monitoring.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and evaluate contracts for community care services programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Provide orientation and technical assistance to contractors on program rules and policies.

  • Conduct monitoring of contract performance, including service delivery and fiscal monitoring.

  • Develop and implement corrective actions and/or sanctions as needed.

  • Assist with projects and provide information and technical assistance to contract staff.



Requirements:



  • Journey-level knowledge of contracting and procurement regulations, business administration, and accounting principles and practices.

  • Ability to evaluate contracts and recommend continuation or termination, as well as interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
