Role Responsibilities:

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will provide essential clinical support and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, adhering to state pharmacy regulations. The specialist will prepare and deliver clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications that align with our core business offerings.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Executing sterile preparation of IV and infused medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with current regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of USP 797 standards and relevant State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Maintaining communication and shipment schedules to guarantee continuity of care for all patients.
  • Collecting, documenting, and coordinating customer communications, laboratory data, and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams.
  • Efficiently entering pertinent patient and prescription data into the pharmacy software system.
  • Conducting cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
  • Participating in the company’s quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Staying current with continuing education requirements set by the State Board of Pharmacy and engaging in company-sponsored CE offerings and annual re-credentialing.
  • Managing the receipt and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
  • Picking and packaging supplies and medications for customer delivery.
  • Participating in regular inventory counts and adhering to the formulary management program.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, EST
  • Must hold a valid Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Georgia
  • Experience in Sterile Compounding is required
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma; some college coursework preferred.
  • Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or as mandated by the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum experience as a technician in a pharmacy IV room within a hospital setting.
  • Preferred prior technician experience with a home infusion service.
  • Current registration and compliance with ACPE requirements.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient sterile compounding techniques.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
