Pharmacy Director

Job Title: Pharmacy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Manager to oversee the overall management of our pharmacy and lead our team of pharmacists and technicians in providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

* Direct pharmacy and operations functions to ensure effective operations
* Demonstrate understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations
* Provide and/or oversee compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services prescribed by physicians or other mid-level practitioners and authorized medical personnel in a safe and efficient manner
* Ensure that all pharmacy operations, practices and procedures meet all licensing and standards requirements established by local, state and federal agencies
* Conducts initial and ongoing assessment of specific patient, drug and disease information to identify real and potential drug-related problem or needs
* Prepares formulations for solutions/medications, and ensures the accuracy of the preparation; may oversee work of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Interns
* Participates in the preparation, distribution, security and maintenance of controlled substances
* Ensures that all documentation necessary to support the billing process is completed and available in a timely manner
* Selects, trains, develops and motivates a competent staff to procure, prepare and provide quality pharmacy services and medical supplies to patients and customers
* Planning and implementation of departmental budget
* Participates in and maintains on-call schedule for pharmacists and covers as needed

Requirements:

* Specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience preferred
* Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) professional degree
* Minimum 7 years Pharmacist experience, preferably sterile compounding
* Efficiency in CPR Plus is desired
* Excellent customer service skills
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
