Position Overview:

Employment Type: Part-Time (PRN)

Shift Hours: 8 AM - 5:30 PM

Role Summary:

The clinical pharmacy specialist is tasked with delivering comprehensive distributive, clinical, and educational pharmacy services. Adhering to the regulations set forth by state and federal pharmacy laws, the clinical pharmacy specialist aims to maintain an up-to-date understanding of evolving pharmaceutical and health sciences, ensuring the provision of pharmaceutical care across the healthcare facility.
  • Delivery of distributive, clinical, and educational pharmacy services.
  • Implements pharmacy services within the pharmaceutical care framework, ensuring safe, suitable, effective, and economical medication therapy to achieve specific outcomes that enhance patient well-being.
  • Collaborates and engages as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team responsible for designing, executing, and evaluating patient care strategies.
  • Acts as an educator for patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals. The clinical pharmacy specialist also serves as a mentor, educator, and role model for pharmacy students and interns, while supervising pharmacy technicians and clerks.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited institution with a degree in Pharmacy.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the relevant state pharmacy board.
  • Pharm.D. or pertinent clinical hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
