Job Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will enhance pharmacological services by managing the preparation, distribution, and inventory of medications. Your responsibilities will include:

Replenishing and/or ordering personal protective equipment and dispensing supplies (such as syringes and needles). Conducting thorough inventory assessments of pharmacy supplies and investigational products; communicating needs to the Registered Pharmacist for timely ordering. Preparing investigational products, placebos, and medications for verification by the Registered Pharmacist prior to dispensing. Administering investigational products to study participants. Maintaining meticulous records by documenting and preparing investigational products as per protocol, ensuring all required documentation and source documents are completed accurately. Ensuring that documentation is consistently completed to the highest standard, with 100% accuracy. Any discrepancies will be addressed by the appropriate personnel, with measures implemented to prevent future occurrences. Organizing, stocking, and labeling medications while actively monitoring inventory levels. Addressing inquiries from healthcare professionals (including nurses and investigators), providing answers, and referring complex questions to the Pharmacist as necessary. Adhering to established regulations and procedures to maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment, including sterilizing equipment and surfaces. Keeping work areas organized and clean at all times. Processing study orders with a focus on accuracy and completeness. Taking proactive steps to foster an efficient and functional pharmacy setting. Serving as a secondary verification step when required. Complying with HIPAA, OSHA, Sterile Technique, and USP standards at all times. Collaborating effectively with colleagues to promote teamwork. Monitoring the temperatures of refrigerators and freezers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
