Job Title: General Merchandise Clerk
Department: General Merchandise
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Key Responsibilities:
As a General Merchandise Clerk, you will:
- Deliver prompt and friendly customer service, demonstrating care and attentiveness in all interactions.
- Maintain product displays by rotating, facing, and replenishing merchandise to ensure quality and availability.
- Regularly assess the cleanliness and organization of the department and store displays.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to greet and assist customers effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the work area.
Reporting Structure:
You will report to the District Store Director, Store Manager, and various Assistant Managers within the store.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform medium work, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Visual acuity for tasks requiring close vision and depth perception.
Work Environment:
This role involves exposure to various working conditions, including potential dirt and equipment movement hazards.
