About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Peer Specialist to join our team at Radias Health. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting hope and recovery among individuals with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide peer counseling and support to validate clients' experiences and promote self-determination.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement treatment plans that prioritize client-centered care.
  • Assist clients in accessing community resources, benefits, and services to support their recovery journey.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment and evaluation of clients' mental health symptoms and response to treatment.
  • Teach symptom-management techniques and promote personal growth and development with mental health issues and substance abuse issues.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, vocational skills, and accessing housing and financial supports.
  • Provide side-by-side support, coaching, and encouragement to help clients socialize and engage in leisure activities.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a primary diagnosis of mental illness and be a current or former consumer of mental health services.
  • Credentialed as a DHS Certified Peer Specialist.
  • Preferred: Hold a Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences and have 2000 hours of experience working with adults with serious persistent mental illness.
