Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Clinical Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Clinical Support Specialist will play a vital role in the success of our healthcare team at CodeForce. This individual will be responsible for managing the customer flow throughout the clinic, assisting providers in the management and treatment of patients, and performing various clinical and clerical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage customer flow throughout the clinic, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients.
• Assist providers in the management and treatment of patients, including standard rooming processes, giving immunizations, injections, and other medications as directed by the provider.
• Perform laboratory specimen collection as needed and may be responsible for providing telephone support, facilitating communication between patients and providers, assisting with prescription refills, and performing x-ray duties as assigned if individual has passed the x-ray operator exam.
• Provide support to the clinic, including front desk/check-in support, ordering and stocking supplies, and assistance with prior authorizations.

Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required AND on-the-job experience or training OR participation in a registration program conducted by an accredited national health services organization, such as American Medical Technologists, and passing the credentialing exam.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Passed x-ray operator's examination or willing to take exam according to individual clinic needs.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient manner and have knowledge of and skill in using computer software applications.
