Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of current supply chain systems, including inventory management and distribution.
  • Evaluate complex logistics support systems to identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Analyze both historical and current data to uncover discrepancies and inefficiencies.
  • Create training materials for new automated systems and provide user training.
  • Offer consulting services regarding USMC logistics strategies and supply chain management policies.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving existing supply chain systems at wholesale and retail levels.
  • Support inventory management and distribution processes to enhance overall logistics performance.
  • Assist in establishing lifecycle management activities for weapon systems, focusing on standardization and efficiency.
  • Address audit findings related to inventory and requisitioning processes.
  • Propose innovative solutions to enhance inventory and distribution practices.
  • Review and analyze budgeting requirements for Defense Components Supply Working Capital Funds.
  • Assess logistics policies against performance metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Provide administrative support for the maintenance and updates of supply chain policies, collaborating with government stakeholders.
  • Prepare documentation, including reports and presentations, for USMC leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Over 12 years of experience in DoD logistics and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with advanced modeling and inventory optimization techniques.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior executives in both government and industry.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret level security clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred.
  • Experience in military or DoD civilian roles.
  • Knowledge of USMC Intermediate Supply and GCSS-MC.
  • Familiarity with Navy-ERP and FIAR methodology.
  • Experience with USMC and DoD supply and maintenance processes.
