Job Overview

The Difference Card is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for creating broker distribution networks to promote our Difference Card product suite and help employers reduce their health insurance spend while maintaining great benefits for employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify potential strategic broker partners and develop relationships to promote our product suite.
  • Sell to customers in the 50-5,000 employee range through broker partners and be accountable for prospects from presale through implementation.
  • Provide necessary broker support for successful education and implementation of our product, including interacting with broker partner teams and conducting broker education meetings.
  • Develop and maintain key internal relationships to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Understand customer needs and provide value-added consultation to deliver custom plan design solutions that exceed the needs of both employers and employees.
  • Present a positive image of The Difference Card in the marketplace and understand the importance of wellness in the employee benefits arena.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • State Health Insurance License or ability to obtain within three months of starting position.
  • Two years' experience in a sales role in employer group benefits or relevant industry.
  • Excellent public speaking skills with ability to present to business decision makers, brokers, and employees.
  • Superior presentation skills in person and virtual capacity, with experience utilizing Zoom and Microsoft Teams preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Salesforce.
  • History of new business sales success and strong network of group health insurance brokers and consultants.
What We Offer
  • Base Salary and Variable Commission.
  • Must reside within 100 miles of Albany, NY.
  • Full-Time (exempt) position with up to 20% travel required.
