Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:
  • Ensure proper use, inspection, and maintenance of all required personal protective equipment.
  • Oversee the routine upkeep and repair of vessel cranes and related systems.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to document and approve any modifications to systems.
  • Maintain an organized library of vendor catalogs for all equipment under your jurisdiction.
  • Foster strong communication with vessel Crane Operators to address any crane-related issues or concerns.
  • Manage inventory control to ensure a sufficient supply of spare parts is consistently available.
  • Adhere to all company protocols, including the Safety Management System relevant to your responsibilities.
  • Prioritize safety by refusing unsafe work and executing tasks in line with established safety standards.
  • Participate in emergency and occupational training, including the use of safety equipment and emergency response drills.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience with hydraulic systems in offshore settings, particularly with cranes.
  • BOSIET certification.
  • Current Medical Certificate of Fitness.
  • STCW Regulations compliance.
  • VI-6 Security Familiarization certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • STCW95 Regulation III/1 - Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) certification.
