Software Systems Engineer - Peraton

We are seeking a skilled Software Systems Engineer to contribute to our dynamic Software Development team. This role involves engaging in a variety of projects within the realms of communication, cybersecurity, mission planning, and command and control. The focus will be on applications that support military initiatives, particularly the Tomahawk Weapon System (TWS). This position offers a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transform high-level mission concepts into comprehensive system requirements.
  • Evaluate system requirements to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Engage with clients on technical issues and relay progress updates.
  • Oversee the design and specification of system functionalities and interfaces.
  • Document solutions and present them through various methodologies.
  • Participate in readiness reviews and testing phases.
  • Conduct integration testing to verify that system performance aligns with requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with a BS/BA; no experience required with an MS/MA; or 6 years without a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the systems development life cycle and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous military experience or involvement in DoD software projects.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering tools and Agile development practices.
  • Experience with software development management tools.

Salary Range:

$86,000 - $138,000. This estimate is based on experience and other relevant factors.
