Software Systems Engineer - Peraton

We are seeking a dedicated Software Systems Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects in communication, cybersecurity, mission planning, and command and control. This role focuses on applications that support various military initiatives, including the Tomahawk Weapon System (TWS). The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of remote and onsite collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Convert high-level mission concepts into comprehensive system requirements.
  • Evaluate system requirements to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Engage with clients on technical issues and relay updates to both the team and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the design and specification of system functionalities and interfaces.
  • Document solutions and showcase them through diverse methodologies.
  • Participate in readiness reviews and testing phases of components.
  • Conduct integration testing to verify that system performance aligns with requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with a BS/BA; no experience required with an MS/MA; or 6 years of experience without a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for a Department of Defense Secret clearance.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the systems development life cycle and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous military experience or involvement in Department of Defense software projects.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering tools and Agile development practices.
  • Experience with software development management platforms.

Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This estimate is based on experience and other relevant factors.
