The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is in search of a Facility Maintenance Attendant to become a part of our dedicated team.

As a Facility Maintenance Attendant at Camp Seymour, you will collaborate with our facilities team to execute the essential tasks necessary for maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises. This includes both indoor and outdoor upkeep, operating cleaning machinery, and adhering to all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete all tasks assigned by your supervisor on a weekly basis and ensure the maintenance of your designated area and equipment.
  • Perform interior cleaning duties, which encompass vacuuming carpets, washing windows, managing spills, sweeping or mopping floors, removing scuff marks from walls and floors, cleaning restrooms and locker rooms, gum removal, dusting, odor control, and trash disposal.
  • Operate both motorized and non-motorized cleaning equipment as required.
  • Assist other departments and branches as necessary for ongoing or special events.
  • Document requests from staff and members and communicate these to your supervisor, maintaining a record of maintenance needs and cleaning requirements. Report any conditions that necessitate immediate attention and carry out repairs and cleaning as instructed.
  • Ensure the security of YMCA buildings and property during your shift and report any incidents or hazardous situations to your supervisor.
  • Operate all equipment safely and correctly, notifying your supervisor of any required repairs.
  • Utilize proper techniques and procedures while maintaining a clean workspace to ensure a safe working environment.

  • You have a fundamental understanding of the care and maintenance of equipment.
  • You are prepared to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on your first day of employment and participate in any additional training as required.
Wage: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, based on qualifications.

Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week.
