Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our team at Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in processing and sorting donations from our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Donation Processing: Accept and process donations from donors, issuing receipts as necessary.
  • Donation Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized donation area, both inside and outside, at all times.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training on Gaylord and pallet use, and assist in the unloading and loading of trucks and/or trailers.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, greeting donors and assisting with the transportation of donations to the center.
  • Donation Evaluation: Exercise good judgment in determining which donations are acceptable, communicating this decision to donors in a polite and effective manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and deliver them to supervisors or drivers as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, possess a positive attitude, and demonstrate exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
