Position Summary

We are in search of a full-time Analyst II within our Institutional Research Department. This role encompasses a range of research and analytical tasks that support institutional planning, budget management, program assessment, student retention strategies, and enrollment analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of data processing and research methodologies.


Key Competencies

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Expertise in performance measurement principles and the ability to evaluate the accuracy and presentation of statistical information.
  • Experience with current best practices in usability and accessibility, adhering to institutional, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Capability to develop custom queries for assessing performance quality through innovative technologies and techniques.

Additionally, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail, are essential. The candidate should be adept at designing, implementing, analyzing, and summarizing complex research findings into actionable reports for decision-making purposes. A solid understanding of both quantitative and qualitative survey development and analysis is also required.

Essential Responsibilities

The Analyst II will:

  • Conduct technical and analytical tasks focused on data collection, interpretation, reporting, aggregation, and evaluation.
  • Prepare and analyze data extraction queries, generating related reports and summaries.
  • Assist in the preparation of mandatory reports and surveys for local, state, and federal entities.
  • Develop and present written and oral reports, as well as workshop presentations to support the college community.
  • Maintain institutional databases and archival records while managing multiple projects, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher with at least one year of relevant experience, OR
  • An Associate's degree or higher with three years of relevant experience, OR
  • A High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six years of related experience.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience in institutional research and proficiency in tools such as SAS, SQL, Colleague, and Power BI are advantageous.


Background Check

All candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.


Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Director or Associate Dean, depending on organizational needs.
