Government Grant Program Specialist

Job Overview:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled professional to serve as a Grant Program Specialist in the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). This position will play a crucial role in enhancing the Department's ability to develop the Commonwealth's community behavioral health system.
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing federal block grant support to the program management offices. They will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and dynamic partnerships with external stakeholders, including Virginia's Community Services Boards (CSBs), to achieve this goal.
This position also participates in process improvement initiatives to resolve systemic challenges and develop efficiencies.
Requirements:
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have demonstrated experience with contract development, revision, negotiation, and communication. They should also possess knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
Able to build and lead integrated teams of stakeholders in pursuit of agency goals.
Candidates should have impeccable communication skills, both oral and written, and high ability to communicate effectively in 1:1 interaction, as well as large group settings.
