Energy Infrastructure Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Transmission and Distribution Analyst to join our team at the Virginia Department of Energy, State Energy Office. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to research current and emerging resources and technologies that aid in the development of the State Energy Office's T&D Plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Research funding opportunities that enhance grid flexibility and resilience
- Serve as the program lead for the Federal Department of Energy 40101D Grid Resilience State and Tribal Formula Grant and related grant administration
- Develop and support the T&D Plan with knowledge of transmission and distribution investment and upgrades
- Knowledge of transmission and distribution investment and upgrades to modernize energy systems
- Understanding of grid resilience and technologies to enhance grid flexibility and reliability
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload
- Effective communication skills to interact with federal, state, local, and tribal government officials and representatives of private sector consultants, vendors, and contractors
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid telework schedule with four days in the office and one day of telework. The salary for this position is approximately $84,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
