Spacecraft Development Engineer

Join Blue Origin's team of innovators as a Spacecraft Development Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems.
About the RoleAs a key member of our team, you will develop aerospace multidisciplinary models and simulations using various platforms. Your efforts will further the design of a versatile spacecraft that will serve a wide variety of customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and integrate multidisciplinary models and simulations to support the design and testing of our spacecraft.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of high-quality spacecraft systems.
- Pursue advanced design and technology solutions through collaboration with industry and government partners.
- B.S. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics or related technical subject area.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in development of aerospace vehicle and/or physical system models and simulations.
- Strong fundamentals in rigid body dynamics, flight mechanics, and 1st principles physics-based mathematical models.
- Familiarity with Python/C/C++ for building low-level simulations.
- Experience with aerodynamics, parachute hardware, and parachute modeling and simulations.
The estimated salary for this role is $160,000 - $220,000 per year.
