Spacecraft Systems Engineer

This position will play a critical role in developing aerospace multidisciplinary models and simulations using various platforms. You will perform trade studies and system performance analysis to support vehicle parachute configurations and flight test programs.
As part of our diverse team of engineers, you will collaborate with experts across industry and government organizations to pursue advanced design and technology solutions. Your efforts will contribute to the development of a versatile spacecraft that can serve a wide range of customers.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality. Passion for our mission and vision is essential.
- B.S. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics or related field
- 5+ years of experience in development of aerospace vehicle and/or physical system models and simulations
- Strong fundamentals in rigid body dynamics, flight mechanics, and 1st principles physics-based mathematical models
- Familiarity with Python/C/C++ for building low-level simulations
- Experience with aerodynamics, parachute hardware, and parachute modeling and simulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Desired Qualifications:
- M.S. or PhD in the subject disciplines
- Solid system engineering and configuration management skills

**Estimated Salary Range: $136,800 - $191,520 per year**, depending on location. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
