Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost standards for materials and labor, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly gross margin analysis by product and customer type.
  • Coordinate with the IT department for system issues, maintenance, and development.
  • Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories.
  • Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory liability accounts by customer type and division.
  • Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
  • Support and assist internal department reporting requirements, such as audit schedules and tax schedules.
  • Ensure timely submission, accuracy, and validity of inventory and gross margin schedules to management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, with a CPA/CMA/MBA preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of cost accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong cost systems background and excellent analytical skills, with a sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office products, with strong experience in integrated ERP systems, such as Oracle.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with senior management and across functions to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience with cost-of-sales budgets is a must.
