Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and lead inspections and orientations, identifying hazards and corrections, and promoting health and safety practices and procedures.
  • Coordinate with superintendents on workforce planning and maintain project document control and procedures.
  • Support project engineers and superintendents in leading trade contractors, including requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, changes, and billings.
  • Participate in the supervision of self-perform scopes, including resolving crew sizes, labor tracking, and quantity tracking for Labor Cost Reports (LCRs).
  • Mentor and coach field engineers and students/interns.
  • Identify issues on-site or in defined work scopes and coordinate third-party inspections and site reviews.
  • Participate in crafting, implementing, and supervising quality plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all partners.
Qualifications:
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • 0 to 8-12 months of varied experience as a field engineer/coordinator, with time acquired during internships in the field counting as experience.
  • Knowledge of construction specifications, methods, and procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors, and reports.
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software.
