Role Summary:

Our Asset Protection team employs cutting-edge technology and analytical tools to minimize losses and safeguard our financial interests. As an Asset Protection Detective, you will gain expert training and enhance your capabilities in this role. You will cultivate relationships with store personnel and law enforcement. Our objective is to secure company assets while ensuring a safe and customer-focused shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize surveillance methods to identify and apprehend individuals involved in theft and dishonest practices
  • Employ de-escalation techniques to maintain a secure environment for customers and staff
  • Recover stolen goods
  • Conduct research and compile statements and evidence to support investigations
  • Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, investigations, and audits
  • Adhere strictly to legal and company protocols regarding apprehensions, searches, and evidence handling
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with store colleagues and external entities, including law enforcement
  • Provide testimony in court for criminal and civil proceedings
  • Educate colleagues on protocols for asset protection
  • Respond to alarm situations and participate in special assignments
  • Administer first aid to customers and colleagues as needed

  • Must obtain and maintain necessary licenses, training, and certifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; capable of quick movements
  • Ability to apprehend individuals in accordance with company policy
  • Requires auditory, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching above eye level
  • Ability to remain in enclosed areas for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 30 pounds
