We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team at Ajinomoto Foods North America. This role will be responsible for overseeing the daily HR needs of our Oakland plant, including the administration of benefits, oversight of hourly payroll, employee relations, and talent acquisition.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business Management or Human Resource Management and 3-5 years of progressive HR experience. They will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

This is a full-time position that requires a strong desire to provide attention to detail and maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.

Responsibilities include maintaining and communicating human resource policies and procedures, administering policies as outlined within the employee handbook, partnering with the Human Resources Manager to build talent acquisition strategies, and managing the FMLA and STD process with UNUM.

Other responsibilities include tracking and administering the hourly performance management process for all hourly employees, monitoring employee attendance, and ensuring proper documentation is issued in accordance with the attendance policy.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for all new hire onboarding, including the completion of required documentation, coordinating orientation schedules, and building a positive on-boarding experience.

In terms of qualifications, the ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business Management or Human Resource Management and 3-5 years of progressive HR experience. A SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential is also preferred.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $65,000-$75,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location of the job.
