Clinical Pharmacy Informatics Specialist

Job Summary
The Clinical Pharmacy Informatics Specialist will play a key role in the development and implementation of corporate clinical guidelines, pathways, and protocols for the deployment of clinical pharmacy services throughout the organization. This position will work closely with the hospital, IS, and corporate team to ensure the successful deployment of Clinical Documentation, CPOE, and other aspects of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document internal procedures for the advancement of clinical pharmacy practice;
- Review prior system specifications to understand current system applications;
- Analyze utilization data and update clinical guidelines to reflect current recommendations and standards of practice;
- Assist trainers during user training on clinical pharmacy practice;
- Collect information regarding potential system enhancement needs.
Requirements
This position requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with 3 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience or an ASHP-accredited residency. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of pharmacy information systems and support systems, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
