Position Overview: We are in search of a Billing and Revenue Analyst to become a vital part of our Finance Department. This role is crucial for managing billing operations, which encompasses reviewing agreements, establishing sales orders, processing invoices, and overseeing receipt management. Key responsibilities include analyzing and reconciling inventory and cost transactions across various accounting platforms, along with executing general ledger account reconciliations. A comprehensive understanding of contractual billing, especially in the realm of government defense contracts, as well as experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606), is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the billing cycle, which includes contract evaluations, sales order creation, invoice generation, and receipt management.
  • Work in conjunction with Shipping, Production, Project Management, and Engineering departments to ensure precise billing.
  • Facilitate billings through diverse customer portals, including the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system.
  • Distribute revenue elements and manage deferred revenue transactions in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Adjust customer accounts and handle collections as required.
  • Reconcile inventory and cost figures between accounting systems and ensure shipping transactions accurately reflect part movements.
  • Support monthly closing processes, account reconciliations, budget formulation, and financial analysis.
  • Identify and rectify discrepancies in financial records while implementing process enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related discipline, with substantial expertise in contractual invoicing and billing.
  • Preferred background in government defense contracting, job-costing, and inventory cost accounting.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 Suite.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or Global Shop Solutions accounting systems.
  • Familiarity with FAR, Government Accounting, and Government Contracting is advantageous.
