The Assistant Supervisor, Housekeeping is responsible for conducting inspections, monitoring performance, and maintaining records, equipment, and supplies. This role involves establishing and maintaining housekeeping schedules, making work assignments, and ensuring that employees have adequate supplies and equipment for completion of assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections to check the completion of work assignments
  • Ensure that assignments are properly staffed and employees have adequate supplies and equipment for completion of assignments
  • Monitor employee performance; determine when disciplinary action is appropriate; ensure proper training of new and existing personnel
  • Maintain records, equipment, supplies, and general housekeeping standards
Requirements
  • Education: Partial high school education or equivalent
  • Experience: Two years of cleaning or related experience or 2 years as a lead worker or acting as supervisor
  • Familiarity with accepted supervisory and personnel practices and standards
