Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our team at MCN Build. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules from proposal phase through the life cycle of design, procurement, preconstruction, and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop Critical Path Methodology (CPM) schedules and fully resource-loaded schedules.
  • Perform schedule updates and maintenance functions as required by client contracts.
  • Mentor and train junior personnel on the effectiveness of schedules for proper management and monitoring of projects.
  • Create and develop schedule training materials and conduct periodic training sessions.
  • Review third-party/subcontractors construction schedules and provide review comments.
  • Participate with third-party schedulers to address review comments.
  • Provide project schedule narrative reports and associated schedule supporting reports as required by clients or schedule specifications.
  • Create schedule reporting documents to communicate project execution sequencing and/or progress assessments.
  • Responsible for promptly reporting schedule slippage.
  • Meet all contractual compliance requirements.
  • Develop practical and logic-driven CPM schedules from construction drawings and documents.
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project's goals.
  • Understand principles of cost estimating and productivity in establishing schedule parameters.
  • Effectively communicate project schedule status in project meetings, presentations, or preconstruction briefings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of successful CPM scheduling experience for construction projects utilizing Primavera Scheduling Software.
  • Good understanding of schedule delay principles and techniques.
  • Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents at all levels of design.
  • Experience with Primavera Scheduling Software (P6, latest version).
