Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN to join our team as a Resident Care Director. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the delivery of resident care provided by licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel, ensuring that all care is delivered in accordance with HRA standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct the nursing care team, ensuring that all care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing coaching and training as needed.
  • Ensure that all resident care is delivered in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Medication Technician to ensure that medications are properly administered and stored.
  • Conduct pre-admission screenings of prospective new residents and update resident records as needed.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of residents and coordinate with the nurse to ensure quality proactive care.
  • Communicate with families regarding resident needs and achievements.
  • Assist in organizing and developing service plan reviews as required.
  • Respond promptly to all emergency calls from residents.
Requirements
  • Current nursing (RN) licensure issued by the appropriate state licensing agency.
  • Associates Degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in supervising and management.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook software.
  • Basic typing skills required.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts.
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
  • Able to manage revenue and expense budget.
  • Basic CPR/first aid training.
  • Knowledge of current Federal and State laws pertaining to assisted living and/or memory care communities.
  • Able to make independent decisions.
  • Possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens.
