Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist II

Work Shift: Day (United States of America)

Salary Range: Min. $26.37/hr - Max $42.19/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist II to join our Transplant Immunology Laboratory team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures, including HLA typing, antibody screening, and donor/recipient crossmatching. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our test results, which are essential for the success of our transplant programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform HLA typing, antibody screening, and donor/recipient crossmatching procedures with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to testing and instrumentation.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient testing.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or New York State Restricted License in Histocompatibility.
  • Three years of relevant experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist I in histocompatibility testing.
  • ABHI Certified Histocompatibility Technologist/Associate (CHT/CHA) certification.
