Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Albany Med. As a key member of our Hematology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases
  • Utilize knowledge and clinical laboratory experience to ensure accurate and timely test results
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and quality control procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related field
  • Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician or Technologist by the NYSED
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a laboratory setting with exposure to infectious and hazardous chemicals. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
