We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing, compiling reports, and maintaining quality control procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing and compile reports on laboratory specimens
- Thoroughly and accurately document test results and quality control procedures
- Use effective written and verbal communication skills to work cooperatively with customers and employees
- Perform maintenance and quality control procedures on laboratory equipment
- Use automated equipment and instruments, as well as microscopes and other sophisticated laboratory equipment
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in clinical laboratory science and experience working in a laboratory setting. You will also need to be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working ConditionsThis role may require exposure to infectious and hazardous chemicals, as outlined in the department's Chemical Hygiene Plan. You will be expected to follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
