Business Management Associate | Financial Institutions Group

Jefferies is seeking a Business Management Associate to join the Global Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within our Investment Banking division. This role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Global FIG and will collaborate closely with the FIG investment banking team. The position necessitates significant engagement with various levels of the FIG team, including senior bankers and other professionals across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Global Heads of FIG and the FIG COO in a dynamic and rapidly evolving business landscape.
  • Collaborate with senior bankers to monitor and update revenue streams, pipeline developments, and priority objectives.
  • Engage in both business and support functions, encompassing revenue tracking, wallet share analysis, headcount reporting, group presentations, recruitment tracking, staffing reports, and additional administrative tasks.
  • Compile reports and presentations for Investment Banking Management and senior leadership, focusing on the group's revenue performance, market presence, and significant transactions.
  • Address ad hoc requests from the Global Co-Heads of FIG and Investment Banking Management.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in banking or finance is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a finance or data-driven technical role, ideally within an investment banking context.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Dealogic.
  • Experience in creating and navigating Power BI reports.
  • Understanding of financial accounting principles; CFA designation is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects for various stakeholders concurrently.
  • Resourceful self-starter, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team-oriented with the confidence to engage with senior bankers on a daily basis.

The compensation package will reflect the candidate's experience and qualifications.
