The Personal Banker is responsible for delivering exceptional service to clients of the Bank. This role demands a high degree of precision to adhere to regulatory standards and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate personal banking transactions for clients, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Bank's products and services to effectively cross-sell or refer clients internally as needed.
- Assist clients with various inquiries, which may involve responding to rate questions, processing telephone transfers, and managing account openings and closures for both new and existing clients.
- Handle account maintenance tasks, such as updating addresses, managing debit cards, processing title changes, and fulfilling research requests.
- Address client inquiries or concerns in a courteous and helpful manner; investigate issues and escalate them when necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
- Conduct daily cash drawer balancing.
- Provide support to Relationship Bankers by verifying account information against source documents.
- Utilize the imaging system to scan and link new account documents.
- Respond to main phone inquiries as required.
- Achieve or surpass all referral goals and targets across business units.
- Communicate effectively with management, particularly regarding any challenges in meeting deadlines or providing adequate coverage.
- Engage with both internal and external clients while delivering outstanding service.
- Build and sustain trusted, positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
- Represent the Bank and the Relationship Banking team in a highly professional manner.
- Complete job tasks efficiently and professionally, prioritizing and organizing work effectively.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures, as well as comply with relevant laws and industry best practices.
- Exhibit reliable and consistent on-site attendance.
- Understanding of personal and private banking deposit products and processes, along with banking regulations.
- Previous experience in a similar role within retail banking services, ideally in a commercial banking environment.
- Familiarity with banking processing software.
- Proficient in using office automation equipment, including phones, computers, and scanners, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
