Job Title: Consumer Loan Documentation Specialist II

Overview:

The Consumer Loan Documentation Specialist II plays a critical role in the success of CrossFirst Bank's loan documentation process. This position is responsible for documenting and processing community banking loans, including consumer residential loans, consumer non-residential, and small business loans. The successful candidate will ensure that loans are documented accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Bank and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Loan Documentation: Utilize loan documentation software to prepare documents for consumer mortgage loans, HELOCs, consumer non-residential, and small business loans.
  • Loan Review and Verification: Confirm that loans have the proper approval, comply with loan policy, meet the terms of the written loan approval, and that all applicable regulatory requirements have been met.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Bankers, Assistants, outside counsel, Credit Underwriting team, and Senior Credit Risk Officers as needed to facilitate and coordinate loan closings.
  • Loan Funding and Booking: Facilitate loan funding and ensure fees are paid. Prepare loans for booking.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Document collateral exceptions, as well as incomplete and trailing documents to track on the tickler system. Review and evaluate loans reviewed by Documentation Specialists and document results.
  • Regulatory and Technical Knowledge: Maintain regulatory and technical knowledge of mortgage loans by completing training opportunities and courses.
  • Customer Service: Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service. Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
  • Professionalism and Confidentiality: Represent the Bank and Loan Services team in a highly professional manner. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of similar or related consumer and/or mortgage documentation experience required.
  • Working knowledge of consumer loan documentation and residential real estate lending products (conventional, HELOCs, home improvement, and real estate improved/unimproved).
  • Knowledge and understanding of bank products, services, and operations.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and projects as well as function well in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated success in a multi-task environment with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with office automation equipment, including phones, computers, scanners, and related loan processing/banking software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
