Government and Foundation Relations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Development and Philanthropy Coordinator to join our team at The Salvation Army.



About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in fundraising and non-profit administration, with a proven track record of successfully managing contracts and grants. They will be responsible for submitting contracts and grant agreements to the Contracts Database and Legal Corporate Documents Database for approval, as well as providing program quality assurance and reporting to government agencies.



Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manage all aspects of the Contracts and Legal Corporate Documents Databases, including processing agreements and contracts for THQ approval, requesting Certification of Insurance, and returning signed documents once received from THQ.
  2. Provide program quality assurance by monitoring application process and compliance requirements.
  3. Process all government contract reports to appropriate government agencies and comply with reporting requirements.
  4. Assist in inputting data into the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain accurate and detail records of funding sources.
  5. Lead in collaboration with Divisional Government and Foundations Relations fundraising team with application process, including but not limited to Walmart Local Community Giving and Greater Cleveland Food Bank Application.
  6. Send acknowledgement letters to foundations and donors.
  7. Generate year-over-year and year-to-date grant status reports.
  8. Support Divisional Learning Zone Director in maintaining updated educational servicing licenses.
  9. Manage consistent flow of communication between THQ and local Corps Officers.
  10. Support the Divisional Government and Foundation Relations fundraising team.
  11. Maintain files and archives for the Divisional Development Department.
  12. Assist in the preparation and processing of United Way materials and agreements.
  13. Maintain order of the contract filing and registering system.
  14. Assist with Division special projects and mailings.
  15. Prepare a variety of memos, forms, letters, and reports.
  16. Support and participate in Divisional Development events.
  17. Assist with Divisional seasonal programs as requested.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  1. Associates Degree or equivalent education and experience.
  2. Minimum 3 years fundraising and/or direct non-profit administrative experience.
  3. Strong written communication and business skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to relate professionally and effectively with key constituencies (both internally and externally).
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with database applications.
  6. Licensed Notary of the Public.

Salary

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
